Women make up the majority of the therapy workforce—approximately 60–70% of physical therapists, over 90% of occupational therapists, and nearly 95% of speech-language pathologists—yet they remain underrepresented in executive leadership across outpatient therapy. This panel will explore the disconnect between a female-dominated clinical workforce and the limited number of women serving in CEO and other C-suite roles within large therapy organizations. Panelists will share real-world experiences, discuss barriers to advancement, and highlight strategies to better support and elevate women into leadership. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the leadership gap, the opportunity it presents, and actionable ideas to help shape a more representative future for therapy leadership.
